HSE First Aid at Work Course

The HSE First Aid at Work (FAW) course is run according to guidelines from the HSE and UK Resuscitation Council. On the course students will learn basic life support of an unconscious and non breathing casualty, basic wound assessment and treatment, triage and basic patient transport considerations as well as a range of other skills. The qualification is valid for 3 years, after which a Refresher Course is required to remain current.

The LDC staff who instruct the course have a wide range of experience in remote medicine and trauma care as well as significant instructional experience.

  • Alternative dates can be arranged by request for groups of four or more participants.

    Minimum qualification level: No prior qualifications are necessary for this course.
